What it does
Not tied to particular sites. The first time it meets an unfamiliar quiz page it learns the layout, then answers similar pages directly.
Solve the page in one click
All five question types. Choices get ticked and blanks filled in; undo in one click, and it never submits for you.
Assist mode
Only marks the suggested answer and its confidence; it never clicks or types. Think first, then check.
Continuous mode
For one-question-per-page practice: answers, moves to the next question at a human pace, and stops whenever you say.
Page text first, screenshots when needed
Reads question text straight from the page; when it's incomplete, an image or a canvas, a screenshot goes to a multimodal model. You can also select an area.
Choice questions go to Jev: fast and inexpensive
Jev is a decision model from TypeSafe: instead of writing prose it returns the choice and a confidence. QuizPilot Credits mode uses it for multiple-choice and true/false questions, and a multimodal model for fill-in, short-answer and picture questions.

Figures are TypeSafe's own, based on workflows for System One tasks, not QuizPilot measurements. In QuizPilot, each question also takes time to read the page, reach the network and fill in the answer. Every answer carries a confidence; turn on low-confidence review in settings and unsure answers get a second check from a stronger model.

Open source, so you can check the privacy claims
The source of the QuizPilot extension and its model adapters is on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0. Anyone can check in the code that in Free mode your key stays on your device and questions never pass through our servers. If a site is read wrong, issues and fixes are welcome. The Credits backend is not part of the open-source release.

What is QuizPilot?
QuizPilot is a Chrome extension: an AI study helper for practice questions on the web. One click on a practice, homework or self-test page reads the questions and suggests answers with a confidence score. It can tick or fill in the answers, or only mark them on the page.
Is QuizPilot free?
Free mode costs nothing: add your own model API key, and the provider you chose bills you for model use. Credits mode works right after sign-in and charges for what you use, nothing when no question gets answered. New accounts get 5,000 credits, and packs start at $3 for 4,500 credits. In our tests a page of 7 questions uses about 8 credits.
Which question types does it handle?
Multiple choice, multiple answer, true/false, fill-in, short answer, and questions with pictures. When the page text is incomplete or the question is an image or canvas, a screenshot goes to a multimodal model.
Which websites does it work on?
It is not tied to particular sites: it infers questions, options and answer controls from the page structure, so most online practice, question bank and quiz pages work as they are. For an unusual site, "Relearn this page's layout" learns it once; if it still reads the page wrong, you can send us the debug log from Settings.
Will it submit my answers?
No. QuizPilot only ticks or fills in answers, and you can undo that in one click; submitting is always up to you. Continuous mode stops at the last question.
Is my data safe?
The extension reads the current page only when you click its button, use the right-click menu or press the shortcut, never in the background. In Free mode your key stays in the browser and questions go straight to the provider you chose. In Credits mode questions pass through our server to the model, and we do not keep the questions, screenshots or answers. See the Privacy Policy.
Can I use it in exams?
Not in exams or assessments that prohibit such tools. QuizPilot is a study aid: use it only for practice, homework and self-tests where it is allowed, and follow the rules of your school, exam body and the website.
Which AI models does it use?
In Credits mode, multiple-choice and true/false questions go to TypeSafe's Jev decision model, and fill-in, short answer and picture questions to a multimodal model; turn on low-confidence review in Settings to have unsure answers checked by a stronger model. Free mode uses the models you set up.
Which browsers and systems are supported?
Desktop Chrome 116 or later on Windows, macOS and Linux. The Chrome Web Store listing is coming soon.
Is QuizPilot open source?
The extension and its model adapters are open source on GitHub under the AGPL-3.0 (github.com/jelly-ham/quizpilot-extension), so the Free mode privacy claims can be checked in the code. The Credits backend is not open source.
